Project experience
I have done a EA project about using Revit to draw a carpark in Hong Kong which meets the basic requirements like Mmnimum 3-storey high and provision of minimum 50 no.s of parking spaces. We needed to apply BIM tools to produce a set of drawing documentation for the carpark and certain assumptions was acceptable in order to complete this project like structural column and beam member size, floor to ceiling height, height of stair risers.
Learn from the project
In the beginning, I had to review the whole program of BIM subject and plan my own project timetable, It was difficult for me to draw a car park from nothing and learn more BIM drawing skills. During the project, I spent more than 10 hours on information research and field study, so that I can plan my project timetable and division of labor more effectively.
It is hard to work with others without having a difference of opinion. During the information research, My groupmate and I had different opinions on how to start the drawing, after our communication, I leart the important step of listing to others beacuse it is important to take advice on people's ideas.
The project improved my multiple tasking skills with different requirements. During the project, I needed to spend time on car park drawing and proposal making, each of those task needs lots of time to research information and progress, It improved my multiple tasking skills when I needed to spend lots of time on doing more than one target.
